After graduating from the University of Melbourne with a degree in Journalism and Film,

Penelope already knew choosing a creative path was going to be a challenge.

"All I wanted to do was write and create but no one is just going to pay you for that

straight out of uni. I knew I had to make my own opportunities but wasn't sure what that

looked like at 21. So I decided to just try a million things and I ended up learning so

much about business and creativity along the way."

After working across copywriting, journalism, marketing, content creation, creative

direction, fashion, tech, dancing, acting, arts reporting, and launching her own fashion

brand — Penelope built as much business and creative experience as she could before

meeting Eden and co-founding Boring Studios.

Today she writes honestly about the real side of running a creative business: clients,

money, mindset, pricing, and everything no one tells you before you start.
