Welcome to Boring Studios (“we”, “us”, “our”).

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of boringstudios.com.au, including all digital products, templates, frameworks, resources, workspaces (including CBOS), courses, assets, content, and services offered through our website and associated platforms (the “Platform”).

By accessing or purchasing from our Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use our Platform or purchase our products.

1. Eligibility

By using this Platform, you confirm that:

  • You are at least 18 years old;

  • You have the legal authority to enter into this agreement;

  • You will use our products only for lawful purposes.

1.1 Business Entity

Boring Studios is a digital business operating globally. References to “Boring Studios”, “we”, “us”, or “our” refer to the entity that owns and operates the Platform at the time of your purchase.

2. Digital Products

Boring Studios sells digital products including, but not limited to:

  • Templates

  • Frameworks

  • Playbooks

  • Workspaces (including the Creative Business Operating System – CBOS)

  • Courses

  • Guides

  • Tools

  • ebooks

  • Digital assets

All products are delivered digitally. No physical goods are shipped.

Access instructions are provided via email following successful purchase.

3. License Grant

Upon purchase, you are granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable license to use the purchased product for your own freelance or business use, subject to these Terms.

You may:

  • Modify templates for client work;

  • Use materials internally within your business;

  • Deliver modified outputs to paying clients as part of your services.

You may not:

  • Resell, redistribute, share, sublicense, or transfer any product;

  • Share download links or workspace access with third parties;

  • Use our products to create competing templates, frameworks, courses, or educational materials;

  • Upload or use our materials to train, fine-tune, or develop public AI systems or machine learning tools;

  • Claim ownership of the original product structure, content, or system.

Use of our products is limited to you and your internal team involved in delivering your services. Products, workspaces, files, or access may not be shared with external parties except as modified outputs delivered as part of paid client work.

All intellectual property remains the exclusive property of Boring Studios.

4. Intellectual Property

All content on this Platform — including templates, systems, frameworks, educational materials, text, graphics, branding, assets, words, layout structure, and product architecture — is protected by copyright and intellectual property laws.

Purchase grants a license to use the product. It does not transfer ownership of any intellectual property.

Unauthorised use may result in termination of access and legal action.

We may display example work, outputs, or materials created using our products for portfolio, marketing, educational, or demonstration purposes, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

5. Modifications & Updates

We reserve the right to modify, update, or discontinue products or delivery platforms at any time.

Purchase does not guarantee lifetime updates unless explicitly stated on the product page.

6. Payment

  • All prices are displayed in the currency shown at checkout.

  • Payments are processed securely through Shopify and its payment providers.

  • You agree to provide accurate billing information and authorise us to charge your selected payment method.

7. Refund Policy

Due to the digital nature of our products, all sales are generally final.

7.1 CBOS – 14-Day Confidence Refund

CBOS is covered by our 14-Day Confidence Refund.

If within 14 days of purchase you have genuinely attempted to implement the system but feel it has not improved your workflow, you may request a refund.

We will request reasonable proof of attempted implementation (such as evidence of workspace duplication, usage and initial setup activity).

Refund requests must be submitted within 14 days of purchase.

We reserve the right to decline refund requests where there is no reasonable attempt to use the product or evidence of misuse.

7.2 Other Digital Products

Unless otherwise stated, templates, guides, ebooks, frameworks, playbooks, courses, and digital downloads are non-refundable.

8. Chargebacks & Payment Disputes

If you initiate a chargeback or payment dispute without contacting us first, we reserve the right to:

  • Provide evidence of digital delivery and access;

  • Revoke access to purchased products;

  • Restrict future purchases.

We encourage customers to contact us directly to resolve any concerns before filing disputes.

9. Termination of Access

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to our products or Platform if you:

  • Violate these Terms;

  • Share or distribute products unlawfully;

  • Attempt to exploit or misuse our intellectual property.

Termination does not entitle you to a refund unless required by law.

10. No Guarantees


We make no guarantees regarding business outcomes, income results, or performance improvements. Testimonials and examples are illustrative only and do not guarantee similar results.

All frameworks, templates, playbooks, examples, case studies, and operational structures provided by Boring Studios are for educational and operational reference purposes only. They do not constitute legal, financial, or professional advice. You are solely responsible for how you adapt, implement, or present these materials within your own business or to your clients, and for ensuring any materials you use with clients are appropriate, accurate, and compliant with the laws of your jurisdiction.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Boring Studios shall not be liable for:

  • Indirect or consequential loss;

  • Loss of profits, data, or business opportunity;

  • Damages arising from use or inability to use our products.

Total liability is limited to the amount paid for the product in question.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Boring Studios from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from:

  • Your misuse of our products;

  • Violation of these Terms;

  • Infringement of third-party rights.

13. Visuals, Mockups & Colour Representation

All images, mockups, previews, graphics, layouts, and colour representations displayed on our website, marketing materials, or within product previews are for illustrative purposes only.

Actual appearance may vary depending on:

  • Device screen settings;

  • Monitor calibration;

  • Software versions;

  • Printer settings;

  • Platform rendering.

We do not guarantee that colours, layouts, or visuals will appear identical across all devices or outputs.

Photography, mockups, and example imagery shown in previews may not be included in the final downloadable product unless explicitly stated in the product description.

14. Third-Party Platforms

Our products may require third-party platforms including, but not limited to, Notion, Figma, Adobe or other software or tools.

We are not responsible for outages, technical issues, or policy changes of third-party services.

15. Service Availability & Force Majeure

We do not guarantee uninterrupted access to the Platform or products. Access may be affected by maintenance, technical issues, third-party outages, or events outside our reasonable control.

We are not liable for delays or failure to perform resulting from events beyond our control, including but not limited to internet outages, platform failures, natural disasters, governmental actions, or other force majeure events.

16. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the country in which Boring Studios is registered, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms, the Platform, or our products will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in that country.

International users are responsible for complying with any local laws applicable to their use of our products.

17. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time.

Continued use of our Platform after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
